25 YEARS COSTS REDUCTION
Our industrial experience in Africa allowed us to know the difficulties of this particular market. On the one hand, production costs are higher than the international average and, on the other hand, the low purchasing power of the general public.
For mass consumption products, our first proposal was to divide the presentation of the products until they could be purchased daily, then we proposed the machines necessary for automatic production.
Once these micro-doses were accepted in the market, we proposed their optimization: the stick, which significantly reduces costs. It reduces the packing material, labor, electricity consumption and the occupied space.
As a result, the first major cost reduction in the market took place in 2004 with the arrival of our high productivity multitrack machines.
At the same time, the Senegalese company SIMPA developed economic packaging materials adapted to this growing and new market. In fact, our offer at that time was the duo packing material - machine, which made things easier for customers.
Many products that were packaged in rigid containers began to migrate to flexible materials such as tomato concentrate, mayonnaise, mustard, etc. We are convinced that this migration will be accelerated with Doypack bags with lid, which is another of our proposals.
The processes also evolved as our clients grew. A series of machines and processes were developed to facilitate work, increase productivity and reduce operational losses.
Conveyors, granulators, chillers, mixers, wrapping machines, etc., were modified and adapted to the needs and typical uses of this region
